Community Architecture

Community Architecture"Anne was an excellent team member in that she was collaborative with the partners and the other consultants while providing valuable leadership direction on the architectural solutions for the buildings. Anne was dealing with an unusual partnership comprised of two distinct companies with dissimilar ideas and experiences. She managed to listen to all parties during the process and address everyone's concerns and focus as she designed some rather complicated buildings.  I came to greatly value Anne's quiet, but determined approach to problem solving, not to mention her trustworthiness. She is very talented and demonstrates a true commitment to her task in a most professional manner."

H. Anne Blakely Sciarrone Architecture is dedicated to designing community spaces that provide residents with exceptional and memorable living experiences. The principals at our firm have designed and managed the construction of churches, schools, retirement homes and community gathering spaces. We can design the space from scratch, expand what you already enjoy or even simply upgrade the amenities of an established space. We understand that your project is unique, and we incorporate and accentuate the things that matter most to your community in our design process. We take the time to really listen and pay close attention to all details so we achieve that critical balance between addressing the desires of the client and the needs of the end-user.

Garden Hills Pool House, Atlanta, Georgia

Members of the Garden Hills Community decided to replace an existing pool house structure with a new pool house design, allowing Anne and her team to re-evaluate what this amenity space could bring to their members and guests. As you make your way to the front of the new and improved pool house, the pool house acts as an inviting gateway that features a tower element and arched entryways with glimpses to the bight blue water beyond, Within the structure, expansive views across the pool deck are revealed across a number of interior and exterior community gathering spaces.

Adrian Apartments Leasing Center and Amenity Renovation, Macon, Georgia

With only a few smart design changes, this apartment leasing center and amenity space went through a radical transformation. Breaking up large existing space with a number of sliding doors, gave new life to a once nonfunctional interior, creating a variety of new, exciting program opportunities within the existing leasing building. Along with space planning changes, additional windows were added to increase the natural light, and under-utilized areas, such as a sauna and bar area, were removed and replaced with contemporary amenity features. An updated, freshly painted clubhouse facade looks out onto the pool where bright yellow cabanas and lounging chairs bring a resort-style feel to the resident's own backyard.

W Designed with respect for nature and the arts, the community of Le Jardin was envisioned to complement a stunning terrain and two lakes with lush green space, a milieu of gardens, sculpture and manicured pathways. Le Jardin's common architecture draws its design influence from European art, architecture, gardens, and villages. There are two neighborhoods within Le Jardin - Giverny and Tapestry. Residential amenities include entry features for both Giverny and Tapestry neighborhoods, a gatehouse and gatekeeper's cottage as well as clubhouses for both sides of the development.

Waterlace, Fayette County, Georgia

Waterlace, a 599-acre lakefront community in Fayette County, Ga., consists of 116 developed homesites, 360 acres of additional land, and two pristine lakes.  Situated between the two lakes is the community gathering cottage.  Designed in a New England shingle style, the cottage houses a large gathering room with a fireplace, a fitness facility, a meeting room and small offices.  An outdoor fireplace extends the gathering space to the deck surrounding the main level.  The lower level connects the cottage to the community pool and contains the pool bathhouse.
